In the late 1980s, the company consolidated its operations and concentrated on the development and production of premium quality residential and business telephone sets. Continuing its drive towards excellence, IQL’s range of analog telephones was complemented with a range of technologically advanced digital telephones. IQL had accumulated extensive experience in the design of telephones meeting the Type Approval of different telecommunications authorities, such as the FCC, ACA, TBR and OFTA. It also provided custom design, engineering service and analogue solutions to support major PABX system manufacturers. We had also planned many resources in R&D to make sure all our models were EMI/EMC compliant.
In 1993, a joint venture was established with Beijing Post and Telecommunication. IQL manufactured and promoted telephone terminal equipment in the People’s Republic of China. Besides that, for our commercial/office telephones, our main clients and vendors included: CLP, Avaya, and PCCW. IQL’s products not only met the strictest requirements of clients from Europe, the U.S. and Australia/ New Zealand, but also those imposed by various Post and Telecommunication Ministries around the world.
